Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Qin Graphic Arts by Kaidi Mao From the examination of the aesthetic and intellectual tradition of Chinese landscape painting, it enabled Kaidi Mao to explore such painting’s relationship to nature in a contemporary context. Mao have used today’s design tools, such as Cinema 4D, Photoshop and Procreate, to produce digital arts inspired by the traditions of China. The project deeply responds to the aesthetic and philosophical traditions that form the foundation of Mao's identity, with the goal of expressing emotional states understood through a Taoist lens, and showcasing the beauty of tradition in a modern context.
