Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Shanghai Westbund Corporate Identity by Klaus Hesse, Shen Tu, Jiang Yi We have drawn the »w« like Xuhui Riverside related to West bund. The »w« of the river flows into the »B« as a symbol of the highrise buildings around. We used only one line to connect the real shape of the river with the city. The logo is timeless and clear. The waves are static but nevertheless moving. Moving like the dynamic of the culture institutions which are located at West bund. We have defined a logo full of movement and a colorful visual identity because we want to show the drive of area.
